The Mark of Tyranny
The Great Alluvial Sand Wastes
“Okay, I recognize this spire. I think I’m going the right way. Two more days, tops.” Excerpt from a journal found deep in the wastes.
Hundreds of shifting sand dunes, interspersed with isolated stone spires. The Great Alluvial Sand Wastes aren’t neccesarily the harshest region of Athas, but they are one of the most confusing. Landmarks appear to change places, paths fluctuate, and entire cities could be swallowed inside the endless sea of sand.
The party passed through a small band of the Great Alluvial Sand Wastes on their way to Tyr, ending up at Fort Iron for a short time, as well as encountering Lar the Id Fiend atop one of the many stone spires.
